So plans are finally set for Islamorada. It's an island on the way to Key West just about 3.5 - 4 hours from my house which is on the west coast of Florida. Just spending 5 days there, fishing, tanning, eating, reading and chillin'. Leaving Monday the 28th and returning Saturday. Should be a good time, and it's the first vacation I've taken all summer because of my foot surgery.
One morning of the trip, my dad and I are driving up to the University of Miami for a tour since that is the main college I'm applying to. The hotel is really nice, and has an artificial beach, 200 foot pier for fishing, some good snorkeling water, a freshwater pool and a saltwater pool, and continental breakfast. Mainly, I want to just get out of the house and fish.
I'm also really pumped for our Christmas cruise too. This will replace our annual Jamaica Thanksgiving, which instead of Jamaica we were going to go to Montreal to snowboard but plans changed and we decided to skip Christmas and go on a cruise. Once plans are finalized I'll update.
